Chapter Officer Openings

Women in Aviation International – Cleveland (WAI-CLE) has two leadership positions open for your consideration.

Section 7.05 Secretary

The Secretary shall perform all duties associated with that office in support of operation of the organization, subject to the direction and control of the President.

The duties of the Secretary include:

  1. recording the minutes (notes) of all proceedings of meetings
  2. providing notification of all scheduled meetings
  3. responsibility for the oversight and management of WAI-CLE’s *online presence (i.e. website, social media) *Should be familiar with the functionality of various online and social media platforms
  4. working with the Membership Committee chair to maintain accurate membership records
  5. ensuring that all WAI-CLE members are WAI International members in good standing
  6. working with the newsletter editor to write newsletter and event reminders
  7. adding new contacts to the membership list and the MailChimp newsletter distribution list
  8. tracking membership dues

 

Section 7.06 Treasurer

The Treasurer shall perform all duties associated with that office in support of operation of the organization, subject to the direction and control of the President. (Proficiency with Excel software required for this position)

The duties of the Treasurer include:

  1. receiving and depositing all funds for the organization to the bank account(s) selected by the chapter officers
  2. jointly executing all checks with the chapter President and/or Vice President
  3. responsibility for the collection of dues
  4. working with the Secretary to notify members of receipt of payment(s)
  5. maintaining a current chapter member list showing dues status (paid or unpaid)
  6. responsibility for sending funds as needed to WAI International
  7. providing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for WAI-CLE members
  8. collecting and maintaining an accurate record of all receipts
  9. writing grant proposals
  10. seeking sponsors
